So happy to have learned how to dispose of unwanted prescription drugs from a client! Many townships and cities offer places to drop off these off. It’s important that they not get into the sewer system and then local streams if you flush them down the toilet. Equally important is that they not get into the opioid abuse stream.  Here is information from Lower Merion Township as an example of what to do. Update! I just learned of a ministry that sends the bottles to poor communities in parts of Africa where they wrap the medicines in leaves or any available containers. I am finding out in what country this is referring to but in the meantime, here is an address to send empty bottles to: Matthew 25: Ministries
